Skirts are the next best thing to dresses, you get to look feminine but professional if necessary, plus they show off your shoes so well! If you have legs for days, why not show them off in a short sleek mini? But if you are height challenged like me, a mini also works or a knee length but never, ever a mid calf length! Here are some of my favorites this Fall to wear with what else? Tights and platform heels/boots! Jump for details and how to wear each look!
1. Larsen Gray Organic Ultra High Waist Ponte skirt- This is a reasonably priced skinny skirt and I love the high waist look, it hides so many flaws! $238

2. Free People Stretch Skirt - If you are looking for chic style on a budget, Free People is a great choice! I'd wear this with brigh pink or blue tights since the gray is so simple. $68

3. Geren Ford Wool Pencil Skirt
- This is quite a mini mini but the high waist keeps it elegant. For work, wear opaque tights, for play, go sheer or nude! $265

6. J.Crew mini Silk Skirt - Bright blue is not only for summer, carry this through Fall with black turtleneck and a pair of black tights for a pop of color! $88

7. Diane von Furstenberg Martine pencil skirt at Net a Porter
- You can't go wrong with a classic little black skirt from DVF. $225
